Get Moving.

Stay Moving.

The fail-proof system to create a movement habit that sticks - without making yourself more exhausted, busy, or stressed.

The Consistency Squad is where busy women in midlife make moving more their new normal.

This is not a fitness program. It's a coached community built by a behavioral design scientist, not by fitness hype.

Our neuroscience-backed framework is designed to help you to master one single, life-changing skill:

Staying active as life happens.

You Know What You Want To Do...
But You Just Can't
Get Yourself to Do It

You got the memo!

You don't need another expert to tell you that physical activity improves your physical health, your mood, and your body composition.

But right now, you're facing a perfect storm:

  • Simultaneous energy demands from your career and caretaking.

  • Plus stressful midlife body issues - poor sleep, brain fog, sudden weight gain, muscle loss, and bone density issue - that make everyday life more challenging.

(Seriously, who thought this timing was a good idea?!)

And it's not like you don't care.

You tried a gym membership. You bought home exercise equipment.

You WANT to lift, or get in your steps, or get back to yoga.

You WANT to fit back into your favorite clothes.

You WANT to move more easily through your days—whether carrying groceries, traveling, or gardening.

You WANT to lower your risk of chronic diseases and preserve your independence in the decades to come.

But you're exhausted and over-scheduled.

And every time you work up the momentum to start again, something gets in the way.

The Most Painful Side Effect of Not Following Through that No One Talks About

When you repeatedly fail to make regular physical activity into a habit, your brain defaults to a dark place: there's something wrong with YOU.

You think you have a motivation or discipline problem.

You suspect you're being lazy.

You look in the mirror or at pictures of yourself with feelings of shame.

Because you KNOW what you need to do.

You look in the mirror and think: "I can run a multi-million dollar department. So why the hell can't I get myself to go for a 20-minute walk?"

And this deep sense of failing yourself is acutely painful.

I know, because I've been there. â€‹

But the problem isn't you. The problem is that most fitness programs and the fitness industry have failed women in midlife...

Most fitness advice tells you to just do it.

Perky influencers who have been fit their entire lives give you a rigid calendar, a punishing workout, and tell you to that if you dig deeper, you'll find the discipline.

But they are fundamentally ignoring how the human brain actually works.

And the reality of life for most busy, professional women.

NEWSFLASH!
You Can't “Out-Willpower”Your Wiring!

Your Brain's Job

Until the last hundred years, moving without the goal of securing food or shelter was a dangerous waste of survival energy. So if the thought of waking up early to run on a treadmill makes you want to hide under the covers, your brain’s wiring is doing its job perfectly.

The Midlife Shift

In midlife, you aren’t just navigating hormonal shifts that alter motivation. You are carrying the heavy physical and mental load of managing careers, kids, and aging parents. Standard, grueling fitness programs are designed for younger bodies that easily recover from extreme physiological stress—not you.

The Battery Drain

If you add punishing workouts to your to-do list like you're 20, your brain doesn't see a health benefit—it sees a threat. It sees one more chore draining a battery that is already running on 2%.

You Don't have a Discipline Problem.
You have a DESIGN problem

Because when you design a movement habit that matches the unique wiring of your brain and body in midlife,

staying physically active becomes easy, predictable, and enjoyable.

Create a Movement Habit
that STICKS
with the Consistency Squad
21 Day Habit Change Challenge

Consistency Squad isn't another fitness plan, bootcamp, or habit tracking app. It's expert neuroscience-based coaching and a supportive accountability squad, focused on a single, transformative result: staying physically active as life happens.

Why Consistency Squad works when nothing else has:

1. The Law of Right-Sizing

Most fitness programs fail because they demand 100% effort on days when you only have 2% to give. In the Squad, we Right-Size your movement habits.

The Goal: Match your movement to your actual life—the bad weeks, the work trips, and the mornings you wake up with minimal energy in reserve. If you have 100% energy, you move with intention. If you have 10% energy, you move to recover.

The Result: You stop draining your battery and start recharging it, while building a foundation of strength, mobility, and cardiovascular fitness that lowers chronic disease risks for decades to come.

2. The Squad (Your Social Shield)

The squad is the antidote to everything about the gym that makes us want to hide.  When everyone else in the group moves, you move.

The Goal: This isn't a competition. We don’t compare stats. We're celebrating your "Right-Size" movement wins with you, as well as your essential and intentional rest and recovery days.

The Result: When you share your wins with other women who "get it," movement stops being a chore and starts being a catalyst for kicking ass in midlife.

Consistency Squad works even if...

  • You've started and stopped a dozen times and you no longer trust yourself to follow through.

  • You're already so exhausted it makes you tired to even think about exercising.

  • Exercising feels like one more thing piled on your endless To Do list. (Right up there with eating 120g of protein, hitting REM sleep, and appropriately layering in sunscreen and retinol. Because apparently self-care in your 50s is now a part-time job. Yup, I got the memo. I hate the memo, too.)

 The Consistency Squad Approach

The "Automatic Habit" Blueprint

We build movement directly into your existing life, transforming physical activity from an extra 'daily chore' into just who you are. No more arguing with yourself about whether you're going to move today—you'll just trust yourself to do it.

The "No-Judgement" Social Shield

You don't have to show up in spandex. You just have to show up as yourself.  We leverage the power of like-minded peers to boost motivation and wire-in consistency. When you surround yourself with people who move, you become someone who moves.

Smarter Movement,
Not Harder

Ditch the punishing "Go Hard or Go Home" checklist. Forcing yourself to do workouts you secretly hate destroys your dopamine loop before you even lace up your shoes. We design right-sized movement that your brain actually craves, stacking easy wins that organically compound over time.

Life-Proof Flexibility

No rigid calendars. No bootcamp workouts. No forcing yourself to run just because a health checklist said so. Whether you want to lift weights, get in your steps, or do yoga in your living room—you have the absolute freedom to choose. That's how we build a sustainable habit.

Because Consistency Squad isn't about burning yourself out.
It's about working with your brain and your body,
so you can create an active lifestyle
that helps you burn brighter, longer.

My 1:1 coaching packages begin at $3000. My corporate habit change talks are $1000 an hour.

I'm intentionally launching this initial group at $29 for one specific reason:
Culture

Behavioral science shows that the success of a group depends on the values and practices of its core community. Before I open the Consistency Squad to the general public, I want to curate an intimate, foundational group of exceptional women to seed the culture of this space.

As a Founding Member, you aren't just joining a community - you're helping to establish its baseline energy. In exchange for your early momentum and real-time feedback, you get access to expert coaching and the opportunity to shape a movement that will transform lives.

If you're ready to stop the struggle with yourself, the 21-Day Habit Change Challenge is for you.

You CAN Build a Consistent Movement Habit.
I'll Show You How.

Hi, I'm Dr. Kara.
At 48, I was at the top of my game professionally...

I spent decades building a career as a behavior change expert, conducting research as a Visiting Scholar at UC Berkeley, and consulting for organizations like Google and the UN.

But my body was rebelling.

I was winded walking two blocks to the park with my kids. I had a frozen shoulder that made it hard for me to put on a bra, let alone do yoga.

I felt like I was living a double life: an elite behaviorial strategist on stage, completely powerless over my own habits backstage.

After doing a struggle-shimmy dance to get into my bra, I gave a talk at the Haas Business School Leadership Conference that brought the house down for a standing-room only audience in the school's biggest auditorium.

When a colleague sent me photos of the talk, I didn't see an accomplished scholar. I saw a woman who was brilliantly designing change for global institutions while completely abandoning her own body.

I Froze.

The picture showed me something I'd been hiding from for a long time - the trade-offs and costs of late nights, constant stress, and workouts I never got to.

I'd spent two decades building the principled case:

Smart over sexy.
Brains over beauty.

When you have serious work to do, who has time to work out?

You can run on that math for a while: at 35, at 40, even 45. And then you can’t. (So rude!)

Our 40s and 50s bring a moment of reckoning for many ambitious women.

The exact habits that drove your professional success suddenly become the same habits holding you back.

Screen Shot 2020-10-12 at 4.29_edited.png

I decided to stop being a desk jockey and become my own case study.

Using my PhD in behavioral design and my background in the neuroscience of habit loops, I stopped trying to use brutal fitness industry "willpower" and started designing for my actual biology.

By 50, I’d lost 50 pounds. I ran a 5k. I started weight-lifting. And I repaired my shoulder so that I could put on my own damn sports bra without any help.

(Incidentally, this was also about the time I got rid of my husband — but that's a story for another day.)

But more importantly, I cracked the code on how busy, ambitious women can build a movement routine that lasts.

I took the exact science I used to reclaim my life and built it into The Consistency Squad. No fitness hype. No shame. Just design that works for your brain.

This is me today at 56: still lifting, competing in triathlons, and in the best shape of my life.

FAQ

What if I want to get healthy and change my weight, but I hate to exercise.

We've got you! Our system is designed to help you understand what's making you hate to exercise and how to work WITH those wired-in feelings to find movement that feels (dare we say) enjoyable enough to motivate you to start moving and stay moving.

What if it's not for me?

No problem. 100% Satisfaction, No-Questions-Asked Money-Back Guarantee.

What counts as movement?

All of it! Walking, stretching, gardening, pickleball, swimming, resistance training, lifting heavy, or dancing in your bedroom when no one is looking. Not sure which movement to do, where to start, or how much to do? We'll help you figure it out!

What if I have an injury?

We never offer medical advice. Get cleared by your doctor first and consult a qualified sports physical therapist if you can. Then dive in - most of us are working through midlife body challenges.

What if I've got my cardio dialed in, but need help getting myself to lift?

You'll fit right in. Everyone here is navigating the challenges of starting or sustaining new movement habits. You'll inspire other women to pursue their goals, and in turn, you'll find motivation and encouragement from those around.
